Jun 03, 2017 Result: When starting MC 8.8, error message says the necessary software for validation of the product is not running, I should first install iLok license manager. I downloaded and tried to install PACE License Support Win64v3.1.4r36376 from www.ilok.com (the only available version, however v3.1.3 would be needed). If rebooting does not fix this issue, please visit iLok.com an download and run the latest License Support. This error usually means there is an internet proxy issue that is blocking the iLok License Manager from reaching the server. If you are experiencing this issue, do the following: Open Internet Explorer. Choose Tools Internet Options. Choose the Connections tab and click the LAN settings button.

Please note: This iLok does not come with any pre-authorized licenses, software, or plugins. If you have products that use the old-style PACE license cards, you will need to use the original iLok USB Key.
* An iLok is not required to use with Pro Tools | First, Pro Tools, Pro Tools | Ultimate, Avid VENUE, and all “retail” Avid and third-party audio plugins. iLoks are needed to authorize these versions of Pro Tools software without an internet connection.
